Although the Instone banana flavor is the best tasting in my opinion, the Snack & Slim appears to be identical except for the label at only two thirds the cost, so it is really hard to beat. I am on a reduced calories low cholesterol diet, and this pudding is a great way to get some healthy soy protein as well as calcium without a lot of calories. I enjoy both the vanilla and chocolate flavors. I have given it to friends and some love it and some hate it, so it just depends on the individual. Probably a slight sucralose (splenda) aftertaste, although I don’t notice it. I love this stuff and am hooked.

It took just a few cans to get used to because of the soy base and how thick it is, but i really do like this stuff. I just ordered another case and put it on auto delivery which brings the cost down to about a buck a can. Pretty good for 20G’s of protein @ 100 calories. Great protein in a pinch, satisfying my chocolate urges. I recommend this especially to those that are trying to keep up their protein intake.

I love desserts so after reading a couple of reviews about this protein pudding, I was all excited to try it. Now I’m trying to give this stuff away. I do think that it is better at room temperature than cold. The flavor reminded me of sweetened glue (come one we’ve all tried glue as kids; right?) I do not like it at all. It was also pricey and the amount is such that I’ll be sneaking it to leave at friend’s houses for awhile.

Too bad I bought a case of these based on the other reviews, they are inedible. First, they are sickly sweet. Second, they taste artificial. Third, there is a strong aftertaste. My 3 kids won’t touch them (my daughter actually vomited after eating this), I won’t eat them, and I can’t give them away.

  5. Since I don’t eat a lot of meat any more for health and weight control reasons, I have had to find other ways to supplement my protein. Snack

and Slim has given me an easy, low calorie (100 calories per serving) way to increase the protein in my diet. This is the most cost effective

protein pudding I’ve found, and I like the vanilla cupcake flavor. If there is a banana flavor as one reviewer mentioned, I wish Amazon would

    stock it as well.
